Downtown Albuquerque –
According to the the Albuquerque Police Department, it has launched a Serious Crimes Call Out in regards to a shooting that occurred just before midnight near Broadway BL NE and Martin Luther King AV NE.
Witnesses tell us the shooting happened near 320 Roma Ave. NE.
Officers were dispatched around midnight to the area for reports of a shooting, upon arrival, one individual was located with gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital.
APD tells us while at the hospital, their condition was deemed life-threatening and prompted a Serious Crimes Call Out. Various detectives from within APD are on the scene taking over the investigation.
At this time, a suspect is currently in custody. More information will be provided at a later time
