Pajama Wearing Attempted Carjacker Causes UNM Area Chaos

On 01/25/23, around 12:30PM, UNM sent out an alert to campus and staff about police activity at University Blvd. and Martin Luther King Blvd. At first, it was classified as a road rage incident. Later, an update was sent to out to UNM campus students and staff indicating that it was a carjacking attempt. The victim was able to snap a photo of the suspect. In the photo, it appears to show a weapon in the suspect’s waistband.
