Stabbing Reported in SE ABQ; Victim Hospitalized

Albuquerque –

Around 3:10 PM, a person called 911 to report a stabbing in the area 8010 block of Central Ave NE, which is on the corner of Central Ave SE and Tennessee St NE. Officers were dispatched to the area.

Upon their arrival, they found one person with at least one stab wound. Officers were searching the vicinity for the offender who according to the victim fled the area.

Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to the University of New Mexico Hospital. The victim is undergoing surgery and additional medical care for their injuries.

APD’s crime scene specialists were sent to the area to look for evidence and process the scene.
