Albuquerque –
At around 3:30PM, an Albuquerque Police Department officer attempted a traffic stop in the War Zone and the car fled. The officer maintained a visual of the car as it headed north in the NE heights. Other officers joined in on the pursuit and were able to put a GPS tracker on the car.
At one point while trying to escape, the offender rammed into the back of an APD police vehicle and continued on through the city. The suspect vehicle had heavy front end damage from ramming the police unit and also he damaged a tire as he continued north on Moon St. NE. The man was able to slowly drive on three wheels to the the 2000 block of Jensen Dr. NE. where he parked in the driveway of a home. He exited the vehicle and APD officers took him into custody.
During his detainment, we observed a gun and cell phone on the ground in the driveway of the home. The man began yelling at a woman in the driveway allegedly his mom that he was sorry for all of this.
“I have your gun in the car along with some weed,” said the suspect to his mom in front of the home. The mom assured him everything will be ok.
The man will most likely be charged with felony aggravated fleeing law enforcement and battery on a police officer.
Everyday Life in Albuquerque, where some criminals still run home to mama
Sometimes when that drug induced homing beacon goes off nothing can stop it….except maybe MOM.
Not only will he have his day in court, but he already had his day in the driveway with his mom!
“Don’t scold Mijo, he’s a good boy!”
I find it Amazing how much better ABQ Raw performs compared to the local news stations. The information is more thorough and seems to cover everything that is actually interesting. Good Job ABQ Raw !
I agree Austin. I stopped watching ABC, NBC, CBS news and have never watched Communist News Network (CNN) because of these networks bias. They only want us to hear their spin on the news. ABQ Raw is much more informative and deals only with what is important to us who live here.
Somebody tell this fool weed is now legal.
