Concepcion Guilez was charged
Albuquerque – On August 1st, 2022 Alfonso Gallegos was out for his morning exercise in his neighborhood near the Jerry Cline park/tennis complex when he became a random victim of violent crime.

Videos from a resident’s security camera captured the moments when a white Dodge truck drove up behind Gallegos at a high rate of speed and tried to run him over. Since we published this story, a person connected to the case has been arrested. According to a criminal complaint, Concepcion Guilez was being investigated for his involvement in a homicide that occurred on March 28th, 2022, where a sedan was riddled with bullets and a thirteen-year-old child was killed.
In that case, witnesses identified a similar Dodge truck that also ran over Alfonso Gallegos. Guilez has not yet been charged in the murdered child case yet.

Guilez was also involved in a domestic incident in July of 2022, and a field sergeant located a report stating Guilez was involved in a domestic incident. He threw his girlfriend over a balcony and the entire incident was captured on video. At the residence, there was a white Dodge pickup that matched the description.
Fast forward to August 3rd, 2022, APD took into custody Guilez for the assault of Gallegos case. In a criminal complaint, Guilez told investigators he had an “unknown” friend in the passenger seat. The friend in the truck observed Gallegos exercising and saw that he had a gun on his waistband and he wanted to rob him of the gun. Guilez hit Gallegos with the driver side door to knock him down. When Gallegos ran away, that is when the unknown friend jumped out of the truck and is seen chasing Alfonso with the rifle and firing a round into the air. The “unknown” friend has not been apprehended in any of the cases.

Guilez is charged with Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery (Deadly Weapon), and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Battery (Deadly Weapon).
Guilez was charged in a January 18th, 2021 incident where Guilez was asked to leave a house and came back firing rounds into the home. The case was dismissed on April 22nd, 2021 citing 2nd District Attorney Raúl Torrez’s office was not ready for the trial. We reached out to the 2nd District office for comment and have not heard back from them. It should be noted we have also just been removed from their press access.
