On May 30th, 2026, around 11:20PM shots rang out near the neighborhood of 3100 block of Morissey SW. This is located near Atrisco Heritage Academy near Dennis Chavez Blvd and 98th Street SW.

According to APD, Southwest Area Command Officers were dispatched to a shooting and located a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital. The Gun Violence Reduction Unit was notified and is actively investigating it.
The area was shut down as APD looked for victims and offenders.
