Traffic Alert: Two Crashes on I-25 SB, Multiple Vehicles Involved

Albuquerque –

Just before 1:00PM, an officer from the Albuquerque Police Department notified dispatch that there were multiple car crashes on I-25 southbound (SB).

One crash is at I-25 SB near Candelaria, and the other is at I-25 SB at mile marker 226, which is near the Big-I. The crash at I-25 SB near Candelaria, the center lane is closed, according to NM DOT. For the accident at I-25 SB at mile marker 226, per NM DOT, the center lane is closed. One of the accidents involves four cars.

As of 1:02PM, Albuquerque Fire Rescue is also responding. Engine 19 and Rescue 19 were dispatched to the crash at I-25 SB near Candelaria. Engine 13 and Rescue 13 were sent to the accident at I-25 SB at mile marker 226.

There is also a crash at Broadway and Central and 4th and Cutler.

As of 1:55PM, both the crash at I-25 SB near Candelaria, and at I-25 SB at mile marker 226 have been cleared.
