Two Pedestrians Injured in Reported Crash in NE ABQ

Albuquerque –

Officers from the Albuquerque Police are investigating a serious injury crash near Chelwood Park Blvd NE & Menaul Blvd NE. The crash purportedly involves a vehicle vs pedestrian, but two pedestrians sustained injuries.

When officers arrived, one pedestrian sustained grave injuries and was not responding when transported. Purportedly, this person suffered a head injury. AFR radio traffic suggested the patient may have been receiving CPR by Rescue 8. The other pedestrian reportedly had an extremity injury, which was considered serious, and was also taken to the hospital for further medical treatment.

Drivers may observe westbound Menaul Blvd NE at Chelwood Park Blvd closed as officers and the Fatal Crash Team investigates.

APD stated the individual with grave injuries was listed in critical condition. While the person with the extremity injury was in serious condition.
