Albuquerque –
At approximately 1:05 PM, a person was shot near Central Ave and Pennsylvania St. Prior to the arrival of the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) and Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR), bystanders were performing CPR on the victim.
According to AFR radio transmissions, the individual was in cardiac arrest.
Witnesses reported that the suspect exited a vehicle, shot the victim, and then fled the scene.
When APD arrived at the scene, they discovered an individual suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers and emergency medical personnel attempted lifesaving measures on the victim. AFR is transporting the person to the University of New Mexico Hospital in critical condition.

UPDATE:
After undergoing medical treatment at the hospital, the victim’s condition improved to serious but stable.
APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) is investigating this incident.
