Albuquerque –
Around 9:30 AM, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department responded to reports of a shooting near Decatur Ave and Tennessee St SE.
Following the shooting, officers also responded to a second scene involving a motorcycle crash with injuries near Utah St and Central Ave.
Two people were purportedly transported to a local hospital after the shooting. One died en route or shortly after arriving at the hospital. The other person who was shot was reportedly in stable condition.
Preliminary information from APD indicates the crash may be related to the shooting. The circumstances remain under investigation.
Homicide detectives, crime scene investigators and representatives from the Office of the Medical Investigator have responded to the shooting scene. Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting.
