Felon Barricades Himself in NE Albuquerque Home, 2 Escape from Inside

NE Albuquerque – Today at around 3PM, the Albuquerque Police Department was actively searching for a felony warrant suspect in the area of the 300 block of Parsifal St NE. The suspect was seen going through backyards and finally broke into a home.

APD received word that two people were inside the house and they were able to get out of the home safely. Currently, APD has a perimeter around the area and is focused on the house to negotiate the male suspect out of the residence.

The area around 300 Parsifal St. NE is blocked off by police as they try to get the suspect peacefully out of the home.

UPDATE:

Around 7:20PM, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody by APD. The four hour plus stand off was resolved peacefully and we will update the charges for the man.
