Pedestrian Killed on Central, Vehicle Flees from Scene

Albuquerque –

Around 10:45PM, the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a pedestrian versus vehicle crash near Central Ave and Wisconsin St.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a pedestrian in the street with critical injuries. Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the scene and confirmed the person died.

Witnesses told police they saw a dark colored SUV hit the pedestrian and slow down. The SUV waited for a few minutes and then fled the scene.

Albuquerque Police Fatal Crash team will be investigating the scene.
