AFR Dealing with a Fire Off Menaul and Morris

At 2:30 PM, firefighters from Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a fire off Menaul and Morris. The structure involved is reportedly in the 10300 block of Menaul Blvd NE. According to an eyewitness, the building involved is unit 16, which is Black Swan Events.

There are at least eight AFR units on scene. Currently, the compromised roof is causing them to refrain from deploying firefighters onto it.

AFR declared the fire under control at 3:18 PM. AFR is still working this fire and presently, they are ventilating the structure, watching for hot spots and Engine 9 is doing a secondary sweep of the interior.

AFR informed us that no injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. Furthermore, they said AFR Fire Investigators are on scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
