Albuquerque –
On Monday, October 28, 2024, at approximately 11:19 PM, an automatic license plate reader notification alerted officers from the Albuquerque Police Department to a stolen 2015 white Chrysler 200 with New Mexico registration. The Chrysler 200 traveling northbound through the intersection of Central Avenue and San Mateo Boulevard.
APD Officer J. Eichel located the vehicle at a nearby gas station. APD’s Air Support Unit, Air 2, arrived on the scene to monitor the vehicle. The vehicle then proceeded to drive erratically, disregarding stop signs and driving on residential streets without headlights. At one point, the vehicle was observed driving recklessly on Alvarado Drive near Copper Avenue. An attempt to deploy tire deflation devices was unsuccessful. Air 2 continued to track the vehicle from overhead,
The vehicle was tracked to 416 Fontana Place NE, where four individuals exited the vehicle. One individual, identified as Martin Jauregui, was immediately detained. The remaining three individuals fled into the backyard of the residence. Air 2 maintained visual surveillance of the individuals and requested additional officers to establish a perimeter and deploy a K9 unit.
After several public address announcements by the Air 2 pilot, a second individual, Danny Silachanh, exited the property and was detained. Both Jauregui and Silachanh were read their Miranda rights, but Silachanh declined to answer questions. Jauregui admitted to knowing the vehicle belonged to another female, with whom he supposedly use to date, and Jauregui stated that had previously used it with her permission. However, he claimed to have returned the vehicle the day before. Jauregui said he didn’t know his ex-girlfriend had reported the car stolen.
The remaining two individuals, identified in the criminal complaint as Deanna Friend (later revealed to be Dorise Friend) and Amanda Boucher (also known as Amanda Marie Gomez), were eventually located and detained just after 12:10 AM on Tuesday, October 29. Friend initially provided a false identity to avoid arrest due to outstanding warrants. Boucher was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine.
Based on the evidence and circumstances, probable cause was established to arrest the following individuals:
- Amanda Marie Gomez or Amanda Marie Boucher, age 35: Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer and Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Dorise Rae Friend, age 33: Receiving or Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer, Concealing Identity, and outstanding felony warrants
- Martin Jauregui, age 35: Receiving or Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Reckless Driving, and Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer
- Danny Silachanh, age 40: Receiving or Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer
The stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner.
This incident highlights the importance of air support units, like Air 2, and how they are instrumental in apprehending suspects and resolving criminal activity. In this particular case, officers on the ground were able to keep a long eye on the car, and they never engaged in a chase. In addition, when the suspects ditched and fled from the car, APD’s Air 2 followed from the skies and was able to assist officers on the ground by providing aerial direction, which also helped to ensure officer safety.

As of this posting, we do not believe Boucher (aka Gomez) has gone before a judge for this case. Boucher does have an outstanding warrant for Battery and Assault, these charges were filed in June 2022. There was a warrant issued for her arrest for failure to appear on June 28, 2022. Interim conditions of release were given on August 15, 2023. A bench trial was supposed to commence on October 02, 2023, however Boucher reportedly failed to appear, and a warrant was ordered. A bench warrant was subsequently issued on October 26, 2023. It is unknown if Boucher was ever taken into custody with the previous two warrants issued, but a trial was rescheduled for November 27, 2023. The defendant, Boucher, again failed to appear, and a third bench warrant for this particular case was issued on November 28. In the procedural history notes it states “No bond HOLD.” On NM Courts on May 28, 2024, it lists Interim Conditions of Release for Boucher. On 07/17/2024, another warrant was issued. A third bench trial was scheduled on July 22, 2024. According to NM Court records, Boucher failed to appear. On July 23, 2024 a “Failure to Appear in Court Warrant” was issued. This last warrant appears to have been served to Boucher when she was in MDC custody.
