On November 4, 2021, BCSO SWAT assisted the United States Marshals Task Force with locating and arresting three fugitives at 3600 Wellesley NE, Albuquerque, NM. Two adults and a juvenile.
Marcus Rowe one of the adults was arrested because of video evidence, and a silver Cadillac sedan registered to Rowe. On October 18th, 2021, Rowe admitted to detectives he was in the area picking up a girl. Video evidence showed other activities he was involved in. He was arrested for shooting at an occupied dwelling, criminal damage to property (over $1000) and attempt to commit a felony for the Alvarado Square building shooting in October.
The juvenile arrested was named Thomas Acee and APD took over the case.A
On 2/1/2023, Rowe took a plea deal Rowe pled guilty to Aggravated Battery, multiple counts of shooting at a dwelling or occupied building and shooting at or from a motor vehicle. He had 4 active cases in the Bernalillo County District Court system. His most famous case was the shooting at the Bernalillo County Building Headquarters that caused six figures in financial damage to the building.
The plea deal is as follows:
- 10-15 years in DOC with up to 5 years of supervised probation to follow
- Restitution TBD by probation
- Defendant to complete RDAP (drug treatment program) while in DOC
Sentencing is scheduled for mid March of 2023.
