Annual Sugar Skull Fun Run and Muerto Market Coming to Tingley Drive on Sunday, Oct. 29

Bernalillo County – Time is running out to sign-up for BernCo’s Annual Sugar Skull Fun Run. The event, along with the Muerto Market, is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 29 at 8 a.m. on Tingley Drive between Central and Eighth Street.

This year’s participants can choose between a 5K timed run/walk open to all ages and a one-mile untimed strut and stroll that welcomes strollers and pets. To register, click here.

Bernalillo County Animal Care Services is once again joining this year’s Sugar Skull Fun Run and offering fury friends to join participants. All dogs will be available for adoption on-site.

Muerto Market will also be open to the public during the event. Vendors include Día De Los Muertos merchandise from Bumble Bee Printing, Deolinda Designs and Nnanos. Desert Yoga will also lead runners in a stretch session before the race. And don’t miss out on yummy food, drinks and treats from Cecilia’s Café, Strawberries & More, Wow Wow Lemonade, Kristy’s Yum Yums, Pica Sweet and Honey Shack.

Free parking will be located at the ABQ BioPark BUGarium parking lot at 2601 Central Ave NW, 87104. Additional parking is offered at the Monte Carlo Steakhouse, 3916 Central Ave SW, 87105 with complimentary shuttle van service to the race venue. The shuttle service will be available from 6:45 a.m. – noon.
