According to the Albuquerque Police Department, APD’s Homicide Unit is responding to a home in the 300 block of General Hodges St., N.E. to investigate the death of an adult male.

Officers were called to the home this afternoon after a neighbor reported they had not seen the homeowner all day. The call also reported suspicious information that suggested foul play.

Officers discovered the deceased male inside the home.

(story continues)

While on scene we observed homicide detectives and crime scene specialists looking over evidence. APD did not rule this as a homicide and the case is in the early stages of determination. The final decider of the case of death will be the Office of Medical Investigator.

If this is ruled a homicide by the Office of the Medical Examiner (OMI), this would be the 96th homicide for the Albuquerque Metro Area for 2023.

We will update the story when more information becomes available.
