Shortly after midnight, APD sent out a media alert that officers had responded to an individual that was shot at 300 Dorado Place SE. After APD officers arrived, they located the injured individual, but they were pronounced dead at the scene.
No further details are known at this time. This is a developing story. We will update it as more information becomes available.
APD’s Homicide Unit has been called out to further investigate. This is the third homicide investigation that APD’s Homicide Unit has worked in 24 hours.
This is Albuquerque Metro’s 25th homicide of 2023.

Well, it’s gonna be two years March 18. They shot my son all up. They found 15 holes in him, robbed him then they took off found him on a warrant. That was the only way they found my son’s murderer. He wasn’t gonna turn himself in won’t turn the gun in the two other girls that were involved in it to set him up. They’re still walking free too Something just don’t seem right with this. They say they were scared of my son. They say that the murder shot my son that many times because he was on meth and so was the other two girls so that was allowed the one police officer supposedly told the girl to go ahead and take his money. He ain’t gonna need it no more. I asked why they didn’t call the law if they were scared of him they say because they were, on meth and not in their right state of mind and got scared and ran. They might be laying low right now, but eventually they’re gonna do it to somebody else I had an eyewitness but nobody had a time or day to talk with that person and as far as I know that person is probably dead now too something really seems funny. I have a picture of her holding a whole bag of fentanyl up bunch of guns behind her pictures of other guns I know this is hearsay, but it was the guy that murdered my son. He was putting these guns and stuff together illegally. I hope and pray that they at least get something out of this for what they’ve done they know they did him wrong my son, but them kind of people they don’t care
