Albuquerque –
Before 9:55 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department were sent to the 200 block of Espanola St NE for a shooting.
Officers found a man with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. Albuquerque Fire Rescue provided medical care at the scene and transported him to a local hospital. He was transported as a “scoop and run” patient.
APD officers have now located another person with a gunshot wound on the 300 block of San Pablo St. SE. The individual was reportedly shot in the arm. The woman who was shot is reportedly connected to the shooting on Espanola St. NE.
Police have not provided additional details on either the Espanola or San Pablo shooting. Updates will be issued if and when they are made available by law enforcement.
UPDATE:
The person shot in the abdomen has been stabilized and is undergoing surgery for their injury. A second individual with a gunshot wound to the arm is in stable condition.
The Albuquerque Police Department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) will investigate both victims’ cases to determine whether they may be connected.
