APD Investigates Motorcycle Crash on San Pedro

Albuquerque –

Around 8:00AM, the Albuquerque Police Department was called to the 130 block of San Pedro Blvd NE in reference to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and SUV. When officers arrived they found the motorcycle rider on the ground with injuries.

While on scene, we observed heavy front end damage to the SUV with a shattered windshield, and the motorcycle on the ground with extreme damage. The rider’s property was on the street a few feet away.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue transported the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. APD made it a fatal crash call-out, because of the severity of the injuries sustained by the rider, and investigated the crash.

San Pedro between Domingo and Copper was shut down while the investigation was happening.
