Police Investigate Three Deaths on Georgia St NE

Albuquerque –

The Albuquerque Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a possible homicide in the 2800 block of Georgia St NE, which is near Claremont Ave NE and Georgia St.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue initially responded to reports of a residential fire. According to APD’s PIO Franchesca Perdue, AFR firefighters then “located 3 individuals inside with possible gunshot wounds.

APD’s Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Specialists have responded to the scene and are currently conducting an investigation.

Details are very limited. More information will be released when available.

UPDATE:

On May 24, around 9:15 PM, police released the names of the individuals killed in the triple murder-suicide. They stated next of kin had been notified.

  • Victim 1: Stephen William Bockemeier, 76
  • Victim 2: Marcia Elizabeth Bockemeier, 77
  • Victim 3: Erik Josef Bockemeier, 48

Call: 7:53 a.m.

  • Offender/deceased: Andrew Stephen Bockemeier, 35
