APD Investigates Shooting in NE ABQ, One Hospitalized

Albuquerque –

Around 9:20 AM, a shot rang out near the Mont 44 Apartments, which is located at 4401 Montgomery Blvd. A caller reported that the person who was shot could be found in the grassy area in front of the apartment complex. Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and medical crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched.

When officers arrived, they located an individual with one gunshot wound. AFR provided medical aid to the victim. Albuquerque Ambulance Services transported the person to the University of New Mexico Hospital.

Officers learned that the offender fled after the shooting.
