APD Investigates Shooting in NE Albuquerque

Albuquerque –

Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department have portions of Carlisle Blvd NE and Candelaria Rd NE closed as they investigate a shooting.

Around 5:30 AM, crews from Albuquerque Fire Rescue were dispatched with reports of a person who was unconscious.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting and the individual’s exact condition remain unknown.

Road closures are subject to change as APD concludes its investigation. However at last report, Candelaria westbound approaching Carlisle was closed, and northbound Carlisle approaching Candelaria was also closed.

We drove by the scene in an attempt to gather more information, but APD officers had already left.

Roads were also reopened.
