According to Chase Jewell, APD’s Sworn Graveyard PIO, the Albuquerque Police Department has launched a homicide investigation in the vicinity of 7900 Constitution Ave NE.
Reportedly, shortly after 4am, APD Officers arrived to the scene of a single vehicle crash. When the responding Officers investigated the scene further, they discovered that the subject inside of the vehicle had a gunshot wound, and the subject succumbed to their injuries on scene.
As a result, APD’s Homicide Unit has taken over this investigation.
No further details were provided to the media. This is a developing story. We have a reporter headed to the scene to try and gather more information.
