Albuquerque – Shortly after 1:10AM, Albuquerque Police Department’s sworn graveyard PIO Chase Jewell sent out an email informing the media that there was a homicide investigation at 1100 Old Coors Dr SW.
According to Ofc. Jewell, Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 1100 Old Coors Dr SW. When Officers arrived to the scene just after midnight, they located one individual, but the individual had already died from the gunshot wound, prior to officers arriving on scene. APD’s Homicide Unit has launched an investigation.
According to APD, an update will be provided at a later point. It is unknown if a suspect was arrested for this homicide. The address for the homicide is a gas station, but it is not known if the homicide occurred during a robbery or in the gas station’s parking lot.
This was the Albuquerque metro area’s 34th homicide of 2023.
