APD Investigating Shooting in NE ABQ at a Walmart Neighborhood Market at 4700 Cutler Ave NE
According to APD, on Friday afternoon, a woman was shot in the head by a male suspect at the Walmart Neighborhood Market near San Mateo and I-40. An APD official claims there is no ongoing threat to the public and they went on to say the suspect and the victim likely knew each other.

The female victim was transported to a local hospital where she is reportedly in grave condition.
This is the second shooting at a Walmart this week. On October 17th, there was a shooting at the Walmart at 2266 Wyoming Bl NE, where a male suspect shot another male in the leg. There was an immediate response from an armed IPS security officer and IPS security officer was able to detain the shooter until police arrived.
This is a developing story, so we will update it if and when we get more information.
