Albuquerque –
This morning, Albuquerque Police officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired at Copper and Tennessee. Upon arrival, they found a person who had been shot. That person was taken to UNMH in an unknown condition.
Detectives from APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit are now handling the case. This means the gunshot victim will more than likely survive. If the victim does die, the case will be handed over to the Violent Crimes Division.
A local resident told ABQ RAW that police advised them to stay inside their home. At the time they reached out to us, they also observed officers with the weapons drawn, potentially searching for someone.
While on scene, we observed APD taking a person into custody and there were two other individuals in the back of APD patrol units.
We will update the story, if we have more information available.
So, a dozen people shot this weekend?
It sure appears that way, and Keller couldn’t care less.
Instead of Keller publicly addressing his own policy failures that have led to hundreds of homicides during his time in office, he is busy today sending out a DEI survey to all City employees to get an idea of what they’d like to read about in the City’s monthly DEI rag.
This is Mayor Keller’s priority while his citizens are being slaughtered on his streets. EVERYONE should be outraged.
This is outrageous. Can we request the FBI get involved regarding all this crime and murder in our city? Call for a state of emergency?? Thus is way out of hand and scary!!!
I’ve called and emailed the mayor and the state legislatures but nothing Is done. I live a few block from this intersection. That’s two shooting in a few days .
