Albuquerque, New Mexico –
Authorities are currently investigating a serious injury crash that occurred at the intersection of Lomas Blvd NE & Louisiana Blvd NE. The collision involved a vehicle and a motorcycle, resulting in significant injuries to the motorcyclist, who has been transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
The incident unfolded earlier on Sunday around 11:05AM, prompting a swift response from law enforcement officers and emergency medical services. The precise details surrounding the crash, including the cause and circumstances leading up to the collision, are currently under investigation. The Albuquerque Police Department is working diligently to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and reconstruct the sequence of events to determine the factors contributing to the crash.

In an email that we received from APD, they advised that as a result of the crash and ongoing investigation, both northbound and southbound traffic at the intersection of Lomas and Louisiana have been temporarily closed off. This measure has been implemented to facilitate the investigation, ensure the safety of those involved in the investigation, and hopefully prevent further accidents or disturbances at the scene. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes. If you must travel near this intersection, please follow instructions from law enforcement personnel that are present at the scene, but be aware there may be travel delays.
