Moments ago, there was a SWAT situation near Betts Dr and Quarai Ave NE, close to Candelaria and Morris, which is the Foothill Area Command. This SWAT call involved a barricaded suspect. This SWAT situation has allegedly developed into an officer involved shooting (OIS).
Reportedly, all of the APD officers involved are okay. At the time of the incident, one individual was taken to the hospital; their condition was unknown when we broke this story.
However, later in the evening at a press conference, APD’s Police Chief Harold Medina informed the media that a woman died from the wounds.
He also said that the woman was in a shed when she appeared to using a cell phone to mimic a gun.
The public is advised to avoid the vicinity. In the last three days, Albuquerque law enforcement has had three officer involved shootings.
We will update you as we learn more.
Another tweaker criminal cunt that fucked around and found out. Kudos to APD for continuing to rid our city of vermin.
Is there Body camera footage, of what looked like a weapon in the woman’s hand? It is a clear day so footage should be clear as well.
