UPDATE 2:

On Friday afternoon, the Albuquerque Police Department arrested 36-year-old Dominic Bottijliso following a standoff at an apartment in the 400 block of San Pablo St. S.E.

Detectives had been searching for Bottijliso after he was accused of robbing a man on Thursday while armed with a knife.

Bottijliso was also listed on APD’s Top 25 Auto Theft offenders list. In 2022, Bottijliso was one of eight repeat offenders arrested at ABQ Uptown during the holiday operation plan. In May 2026, he was arrested and charged with Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer (Arrest). He also had outstanding warrants for Burglary (commercial), Battery (household member), Possession of Burglary Tools, and Criminal Damage to Property.

APD detectives located Bottijliso at about 12:45 PM on Friday. He remained barricaded inside an apartment as officers worked to negotiate his surrender.

After several hours, Bottijliso was taken into custody by APD’s SWAT Team.
