APD Responds to Stabbing in NE Albuquerque; Suspect Arrested

Albuquerque –

Around 11:20 AM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department and Albuquerque Fire Rescue were sent to the 520 block of Wisconsin St. NE for a stabbing.

Upon their arrival, they located one person who sustained at least one stab wound. The condition of the person stabbed is not known, but at least word, their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

Officers and Police Service Aides are blocking off Marquette Ave. NE between Wyoming Blvd and Virginia St, closing Wisconsin St at Grand Ave, and Virginia is closed between Copper and Roma. Closures are subject to change.

The offender is purportedly barricaded in the area, and officers are working to negotiate with them to surrender.

Shortly after this publication, just before 12:15 PM, officers took a female suspect into custody.
