Albuquerque –

Detectives from the Albuquerque Police Department (APD) are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men, Preston Ball, 25, and Adam Perrucci, 32, who are suspected of murdering Matthew Aragon.

Aragon, 32, was reported missing by his family members on November 22, 2024. He was last seen leaving his residence in a 2014 White Chrysler 4-door on the same day. The vehicle was spotted near 4th Street and Montano Road, but Aragon was nowhere to be found inside.

Last week, we got tips about Perrucci’s house being searched on Thanksgiving Day by APD homicide detectives. As a result of their investigation, APD detectives have secured an arrest warrant for Perrucci, for the murder of Aragon. Suspiciously Ball’s arrest warrant is not listed on court records and has not been filed. Perrucci’s criminal complaint is sealed.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Ball and Perrucci, please contact APD at 505-242-COPS.

UPDATE:

The criminal complaint for Preston Ball was posted to NM Courts after we posted our story. This complaint is also sealed. Ball has also gone by the name Preston Tahj Ball and Tahj Ball Preston, per past criminal records. When Ball was arrested earlier this year, his booking sheet said he was 5’11” and weighed approximately 140 pounds.

Perrucci was reportedly last booked into MDC in 2018. Back in 2018, he was 5’6″ and 140 pounds.

UPDATE 2:

Both Ball and Perrucci have been taken into custody. You can read the update here: https://abqraw.com/post/apd-arrests-two-suspects-that-murdered-matthew-aragon/
