Albuquerque –
The Albuquerque Police Department’s SWAT team has been called out to the area of Harvard and Silver. The individual that they are working to negotiate with is reportedly a black male, it is unknown what charges he is wanted on. The suspect is reportedly barricaded inside of a residence in the area.
This is an active situation and drivers and onlookers are advised to avoid the area as police try to apprehend this individual.
We have reporters on scene trying to gather more details.
UPDATE:
The SWAT situation has ended and the suspect was taken into custody. The suspect’s girlfriend was observed on the phone imploring Travis to surrender to police. He peacefully surrendered. There were 3 people detained at this location. One was the girlfriend who was released and stayed on scene.
