APD Warns Residents of Thief Hitting Local Fitness Centers

Albuquerque – APD is warning residents of a thief who is targeting local fitness centers and stealing vehicles after going through unlocked lockers in the women’s locker rooms. 

APD Detectives have identified Angelique Silva, 43, as the suspect in a series of commercial burglaries, auto thefts, and larcenies. Silva has been seen in multiple local gyms, entering the women’s locker room where she is then seen sifting through open lockers and stealing the contents from inside, sometimes including the victim’s car keys. Silva then exits the facility, uses the car key remote to honk the horn to locate, and then steal the vehicle. In some incidents, Silva has even used the victim’s credit cards to make fraudulent purchases.
