Glenwood Hills – ABQ – At around 7:40 PM, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department responded to the Glenwood Hills neighborhood near Tramway and Manitoba about a man who called police claiming that he shot both of his parents. While on the phone with dispatchers, the man fled the scene. APD officers were dispatched to the area of Glenwood Pointe Ln NE.
A short time later, a woman called the crisis line claiming that her son came into their home and shot her husband. She stated her husband was reportedly shot twice. A neighbor also phoned 911 to report the incident and believed the woman had been shot.
The man who shot his parents called police back to report his location and that he had locked the firearm up in his vehicle. The man fled, but was detained a short time later when officers located him.
Emergency personnel from Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the house, but found an adult male who was beyond life saving measures.

When we arrived on scene, we learned that the location of the homicide was on the 5000 block of Larchmont Dr NE. at the corner of Manitoba and Larchmont NE in the Glenwood Hills neighborhood.
