On April 15, officers from the Albuquerque Police Department observed Julian Farhart, 28, standing outside a residence in the 140 block of Wisconsin St NE. According to the criminal complaint, Officers recognized Farhart from prior incidents and were aware of two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest.

As officers turned their attention toward the area, Farhart retrieved an unknown item from the passenger side of a gray Kia Sorento parked in the front yard and entered the residence.

A records check confirmed the active felony warrants. Officers established a perimeter and issued public address announcements directing all occupants to exit the residence. The homeowner and three additional occupants complied and exited.

The complaint states that the homeowner told APD officers he did not know the man inside the residence and only knew him as “Ju” or “Juju.” After being shown a photo of Farhart, the homeowner confirmed he was inside the home in the living room and had been standing near the door looking toward officers.

After approximately two hours of public announcements, Farhart exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. The warrants were again confirmed, and he was placed under arrest.

Farhart was booked into MDC on April 15th at 11:52 PM. He is awaiting charges in separate cases for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Felony, Unlawful Sale of a Firearm Without a Federal Background Check (Misdemeanor), and Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer.

In 2023, he was arrested in Sierra County on an out-of-state fugitive charge. According to the criminal complaint, the warrant stemmed from an alleged probation violation in Texas tied to a prior charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 (amount less than one gram). Court records show Texas authorities declined to extradite Farhart, and the out-of-state fugitive charge was later dismissed.
