Albuquerque –

Sheriff John Allen and the BCSO GRIP Unit (Gang Recognition Intelligence Patrol) held a press conference at the BCSO Satellite Substation near Four Hills Village on November 7th, 2023. Their mission? To launch Phase 2 Enforcement of the BCSO Central Corridor Operation, a critical initiative to tackle pressing issues along the Central Corridor from Tramway to 98th St. The upcoming stage comes after an comprehensive intelligence operation conducted by BCSO deputies throughout the summer.

The aim of this operation is to address the issues of crime and drug addiction that have been affecting local businesses and residents. It’s not just about law enforcement; it’s a collaborative effort. Multiple Behavioral Health agencies, partners of the Sheriff’s Office, the Mobile Crisis Team, Social Workers, and deputies are all joining forces to make a positive impact in the community.

As the operation progresses, its focus will gradually shift westward along the Central Corridor, extending toward 98th St in the coming weeks. This coordinated effort aims to make our neighborhood safer and more secure, offering hope for a brighter future for all residents.
