UPDATE:
We reached out to In-N-Out Burger for clarification on their expansion plans and they responded that:
At In-N-Out Burger, we are excited to be in the early planning stages of opening our first restaurants in the state of New Mexico.
Initial development plans are underway for locations in Albuquerque to open by 2027, with future expansion to other cities in the years beyond. A Company distribution facility in Colorado Springs will enable delivery of fresh product to each location, a must when it comes to the In-N-Out standard for quality.
We have always been thoughtful at In-N-Out about expansion into new markets, in order to maintain the high standards for quality, friendliness, and cleanliness that were established by our founders, Harry and Esther Snyder, over 75 years ago. Today, under the leadership of owner and president Lynsi Snyder, those values are as strong as ever.
“Growth into New Mexico is an important milestone for us,” says Lynsi Snyder. “We’ve heard from many loyal In-N-Out Customers there through the years, wondering if we would ever open restaurants in their communities, especially after opening locations further to the east. It was only a matter of when, once we had the infrastructure and support in place. I’m excited that our Customers won’t have to travel to a nearby state for an In-N-Out Burger for much longer.”
