BCSO and NMSP SWAT Situation Near Atrisco Vista Blvd has ENDED, Suspect in Custody

The NMSP and BCSO were involved in a joint SWAT operation near 224 Atrisco Vista Blvd at a mobile home park.

Details are extremely limited at this time, but BCSO are advising people to avoid the area as there is a heavy law enforcement presence.

The SWAT incident was resolved after several hours Sunday morning. The suspect was taken into custody and he was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the face. It is unknown the severity of the injury or the suspect’s condition.

No BSCO deputies or NMSP officers were injured in this SWAT incident.

A multi agency task force will be investigating this shooting and findings will be made public at another time in the future.
