The Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office dedicates itself to maintaining justice. During the week of April 1, 2024, there are three jury trials taking place in Bernalillo County.

Jaime Villanueva

  • Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor 3rd Degree (Child Under 13) (Clothed)
  • Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor 2nd Degree (Child Under 13) (Unclothed)
  • 3 Counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration in the 1st Degree (Child Under 13)
  • 2 Counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration in the 2nd Degree (Child 13-18) (Force or Coercion)

The trial of Jaime Villanueva commences on April 2, 2024, under the jurisdiction of Judge Bruce Fox.

Giovani Ruiz

  • Kidnapping 1st Degree (Intent to Commit Sexual Offense)
  • 4 Counts of Criminal Sexual Penetration in the 2nd Degree (Results in Personal Injury)
  • 3 Counts of Criminal Sexual Contact 4th Degree (Personal Injury)

The trial involving Giovani Ruiz begins on April 1, 2024, under the authority of Judge David Murphy.

Juan Galindo Segura

  • Aggravated Fleeing a Law Enforcement Officer (No Injury or Great Bodily Harm)
  • Aggravated Driving while under the influence of Liquor or Drugs (.16 or Above) (1st Offense)

Judge David Murphy will preside over the legal proceedings regarding Juan Segura, scheduled to commence on April 5, 2024.
