BREAKING NEWS: NM State Police Officer Killed Near Tucumcari, Suspect on the Run

According to a tweet sent out by New Mexico State Police, a New Mexico State Police Officer has been shot and killed on Interstate 40 near mile marker 320. That is near Tucumcari, New Mexico.

New Mexico State Police released what appeared to be dash camera footage of the suspect. They describe him wearing a brown hoodie and jacket. Scene is still active. Details are limited. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police. Updates to follow.

NM State Police will release more information when it becomes available and we will be following this story. A massive manhunt will be underway to find this suspect.

    1. Saw a large convoy of state troopers. I assume it was the escort back of the trooper from this story. Fire Dept was also on the San Mateo bridge
