Albuquerque –
On November 25th, 2023, in the late afternoon we received tips of a large police presence in the Corrales/528 area.
At 4:30PM, APD released news that APD officers were involved in a shooting this afternoon in the area of Ellison Dr. and NM 528. One individual was shot and no officers were injured.
APD did not say if the suspect was killed or transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Detectives with the Multi-Agency Task Force are responding to start an investigation. This is the second officer involved shooting by APD in the last week.
Based on eyewitness accounts, it was observed that a suspect fled from the Kohl’s area to the location with a significant police presence and was subsequently shot. Two officers were reportedly in pursuit of the suspect.
