Albuquerque- West Mesa High School
A report of shots fired at West Mesa High School was reported. Upon Officers arrival at the intersection of 64th and Fortuna across the street from the high school they located one student suffering from a gunshot. Life saving measures were unsuccessful.
Parents wait at the pick up area at West Mesa Aquatic Center.
Parents of student are being instructed to pick up their children at the West Mesa Aquatic Center. West of the high school.
Students will be released 20 at a time to their guardians. They will need ID from students and guardian.
This is Albuquerque’s 22nd homicide of 2022. The victim was identified as Andrew Burson, 16, of Albuquerque.
