Bus Driver Fatally Stabs Person in NW ABQ

Albuquerque –

Officers from the Albuquerque Police Department responded around 6:30 AM to the area of 1521 Coors Blvd. N.W. near Iliff Rd. for reports of a stabbing. A bus driver had stabbed a man outside the bus.

The stabbing victim was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his wounds.

APD Homicide detectives are responding to the scene to start an investigation. The bus driver has been detained for questioning.

All lanes of southbound Coors are closed at Iliff Rd. Drivers are urged to avoid the area.

This is the sixth homicide investigation for the month of July.
