The Albuquerque Police Department’s Traffic Unit is taking over a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian near the area of Carlisle Blvd NE and Phoenix Ave NE. The crash happened around 4:40 PM.

The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

Drivers may see Carlisle Blvd NE closed between Claremont and Menaul. The public is asked to avoid the area due to the crash.

We’ve reached out to confirm whether the vehicle remained at the scene and will provide an update when we receive a response.

UPDATE:

Lanes of travel have reportedly been reopened.

The APD reported that the car that struck the pedestrian did not flee the scene.
