Business Owner Shot in Downtown ABQ

Albuquerque –

This evening, according to a post published on social media, a business owner who owns a property located at 600 Central Ave was shot. This is near 6th St and Central Ave.

We reached out to APD to inquire about the incident. APD’s sworn PIO Detective Jewell states “One individual was shot near that area and is in stable condition. Officers are securing the scene and do have a subject detained. Detectives will be taking over the investigation.”

Given that the person shot is stable, APD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) will likely be investigating this incident.
