Police and Fire Crews Respond to Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-25 Southbound Near Jefferson

Albuquerque –

Around 6:02 PM, police and Albuquerque Fire and Rescue were sent to a four vehicle crash on I-25 southbound and between Jefferson and Montgomery.

Reportedly, multiple cars were involved and one person was extricated by AFR. Four individuals sustained injuries but purportedly, they sustained non-life threatening injuries. They were taken to a local area hospital for further medical care.

NMDOT cams show an extensive backup I-25SB at Jefferson. Lanes are purportedly reduced to one lane. NMDOT is advising drivers to expect heavy delays.
