City Close to Doubling 2020 Homicide Number with Latest Homicide #149

Albuquerque –

On December 21st, 2021, Albuquerque Police Officers were called out to 232 63rd St. NW, shortly after 5:30PM in regards to a male gun shot victim. The victim was transported to University of New Mexico Hospital where he died the next day.

It has been determined it was a homicide and it put Albuquerque at 149 homicides for the year.

APD has not released any information on this recent case and whether or not a suspect is in custody.

There are ten days left in 2021 and Albuquerque is close to doubling 2020’s reported APD homicide count total of 76.
