UPDATE: Crash on I-40 Eastbound Near 12th St Cleared

Albuquerque –

Albuquerque Fire and Rescue, Albuquerque Police Department and Police Service Aides are on scene of a crash on I-40 Eastbound near 12th St. The left two lanes and shoulder are closed per NMDOT/NMROADS.

We have limited details as to the cause of this crash but wanted to alert drivers in the event they were traveling on I-40 on their way home.

As of this publication, it does appear that AFR has already cleared the scene, and APD, PSAs and Help Trucks are still on scene.

Updates on road re-openings will be posted below.

UPDATE:

As of 5:42 PM, NMDOT reports that “I-40 Eastbound at 12th street the left lane is closed due to a crash. Expect heavy delays.”

UPDATE 2:

Based on NMDOT/NMROADS cameras and Dynamic sign info, this crash has been cleared as of 5:55PM.
