Albuquerque –
Just after 5 p.m., a multi-vehicle crash was reported on I-40 westbound at University (mile marker 160). The crash involves at least three cars, and one has rolled over. The New Mexico State Police, Albuquerque Ambulance Services, and Albuquerque Fire and Rescue are on the scene.
The four right lanes are closed, according to the NM DOT/NMROADS. Traffic is backed up to at least I-40 westbound and San Mateo.
Drivers are encouraged to seek an alternative route.

UPDATE:
The Albuquerque Police Department, Police Service Aides, and two highway Help Trucks are also on scene to assist with traffic management (NMDOT photo @5:29pm).
UPDATE 2:
As of 5:51 PM, the crash cleanup was still ongoing (NMDOT photo @5:51pm).
UPDATE 3:
One of the vehicles in the crash was removed by a wrecker around 6:25 PM. Two other vehicles, including the overturned one, remain on the interstate, blocking lanes of traffic.
UPDATE 4:
As of 7:30PM, the crash removal is still underway.
UPDATE 5:
The interstate was reopened minutes before 8:10PM.
